I loved all of the ideas- its so interesting to me that a lot of us are on the same page.
I am also loving the new curriculum, I am finding the spirit so much stronger in our lessons and I am loving all of the participation.
A few things we are doing
we have a lesson schedule with who is teaching that week
but no assigned lesson
We are finding that there is SO much information, videos, scriptures, talks etc
under each subcategory (that is what I call the broken down subjects in the month theme)
that depending upon how the Spirit guides that teacher that week
she can teach from any of it- even if it has been taught.
We are noticing that as we teach there is no way to cover all the material
so if we feel inspired then we can touch on that subject again.
Usually the Thursday before our lesson
we will post a talk, video or thought on our young women Facebook page
to get their minds going and thinking about the lesson
We have found it imperative to address questions, thoughts etc that either
were not addressed in the previous lesson, or just discuss some additional thoughts or insight
they may have had during the week
With the topic being on the Godhead this month
my thoughts have been reflecting on a New Era article
Sister Dalton said- anywhere you are where the spirit is present can be a holy place. Harold B Lee taught that holy places have more to do with how one lives than where one lives. If you live worthy of the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, then you stand in a Holy place.
This seems to really hit home with our young women and give them comfort.
With our world spinning so fast and with so much evil around them constantly
I love this wonderful gospel that gives us answers to life's challenges and difficulties.
Please Please lets keep sharing on blogs and with each other, so that we might be able to inspire each other.
I sure do love this blogging world!
